Problem
The Problem Statement
Communication is a key part of life and makes it possible for people to work together. Without communication, it would be impossible for us to work together or to execute the normal functions of life.
To better understand the relationship between our communications and the functions that we execute, it is important to treat both entities as separate. For instance, if we communicate about buying a house, we can treat the communication about buying the house as an entity, and the purchase of the house as another entity. Without our communication about buying a house, it is not possible for us to buy a house.
While the functions that we execute depend on our communications, the quality of the communication is also important. For instance, if we communicate about buying a house, but the quality is not good, the results will be flawed.
In order to execute our functions without error, it is important to communicate without error. Without identifying and correcting errors in the communication about buying the house, it is impossible to complete the function without flaw.
The communication of a person includes an external view and an internal view. For instance, if we communicate about buying a house, the external view of that communication is what we read or hear (oral or written communication). The internal view of the communication is considered to be what we think in terms of communication. For instance, we communicate about buying a house we also think about buying a house. In order to solve the communication problem, neither the external or internal view can be ignored.
